Spiders!

I'm not entirely pleased with this large spider that has taken up residence (and build quite an impressive web) across the front of my balcony. As long as he stays outside, we'll stay friends. And if you're wondering, he's quite large... about 2.5 inches from tip to tip. And no, I'm not going to hold up a ruler to him. His web is quite lovely, though, about a foot and a half in diameter and has one long anchor line right down to my fence.
