Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Last Sunday I attended Hitchcon '09 - Celebrating 30 years of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Now, admittedly, I didn't read the book until last week, so I was a bit late on the uptake, but I figured it was going to be good fun and it was.

First of all, I had to snap a couple of photos at the photocall. They were attempting to get the largest number of people wearing bathrobes and towels together for a photo. They were even handing out free towels to some people. I'm sure, even if you haven't read the book, that you understand the towel reference. If not, Wikipedia will help you out.

Secondly, I attended the "Douglas Adams Chat Show" which involved several people all getting together to chat about the book and life and whatnot. The cool thing was that it was hosted by Clive Anderson, a very funny comic who makes a regular appearance on QI, which, sadly, I'll never get tickets to see. However, I'm slowly seeing most of the comics that have made appearances on QI in other events. So I'll have my own QI then! Hah! Siiiigh.
Didn't take any other pictures, since they told me not to, but it was good fun.
